The annual Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages includes approximately 250 workshops and sessions presented by world language teachers at all levels of instruction. It is governed by a Board of Directors which is elected by the membership of the CSCTFL Advisory Council as outlined in its by-laws.

The Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages serves the fourteen states of:

 ArkansasIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyMichiganMinnesotaMissouriNebraskaNorth DakotaOhioSouth Dakota, and Wisconsin.

You can be part of this process through regular attendance at the annual conference.

In addition, one can join the Advisory Council, and receive free conference registration along with other privileges and opportunities for professional involvement and development.

German Studies Association

GSAOctober 3-6, 2019 – Portland, OR

The annual German Studies Association conference brings together over 1,000 scholars in the areas of German history, literature, culture, politics and any other discipline with a focus on German-speaking Europe in any time period. Presentations range over the period between the Middle Ages and the present. Younger scholars, including graduate students, can present alongside established members of the association.

The Michigan World Language Association (MIWLA) Conference features over 90 educational sessions and workshops covering a wide spectrum of the language profession addressing the theme Forging a Can-Do Mindset: with colleagues, resources, other cultures, and core practices for promoting proficiency. More than 25 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest products and services for you and your students. The MIWLA Conference brings together over 600 language educators from all languages and levels each year.

This global event brings together more than 8,000 language educators from all languages, levels, and assignments.
